A private accountability app

Make a promise.
The Goblin keeps the file.

For people who ignore ordinary reminders. File a goal, show proof when it’s due, earn in-app gold, and keep going.

Pay with proof, not money. Solo goals stay on your device by default.

Reminders are easy to ignore. Shame is worse.

Pay the Goblin gives your goal a little ceremony. Instead of another sterile notification, you file a docket with a tiny magical clerk who expects proof when the time comes.

  • For small goals that keep slipping.
  • Private by default.
  • Playful pressure, without public shame.
  • Progress you can actually see.

Building the filing cabinet in the open.

Pay the Goblin is growing one useful little ritual at a time: a promise, a proof, a reward, then a reason to return tomorrow.

  1. Now / The foundationShaping the private core: commitments, proof, the ledger, and the tiny reward loop that makes follow-through feel real.
  2. Coming next / First filesInviting early supporters into the first version to test what feels motivating, useful, and worth keeping.
  3. After that / More bureauPolishing the ritual, adding cosy customisation, and carefully introducing optional friend challenges when they are ready.

The roadmap will evolve with real feedback. Waitlist members will be the first to hear when a new part of the bureau opens.

Get launch access.

Join the early-access list and help shape the Goblin’s filing cabinet before the first public release.

What do you most want help following through on?

No spam. Just launch access, build updates, and the occasional goblin filing notice.

A few things the Goblin is not.

Is this real money?

No. “Paying the Goblin” means showing proof that you did what you promised. Gold is an in-app reward only. It has no cash value and cannot be cashed out, transferred, wagered, or exchanged for subscriptions.

What happens if I miss a commitment?

A missed docket may affect in-app gold, but never below zero. It does not create debt, charge money, or create any real-world financial consequence.

Is my proof public?

No. Solo proof stays on your device by default. Optional friend challenges are intended to share only challenge-specific proof after you accept that challenge.

Is this therapy or medical treatment?

No. Pay the Goblin is a playful self-accountability tool. It is not therapy, medical treatment, financial or legal advice, or emergency support.

When is it launching?

We’re building toward the first public release, and waitlist members will receive the first invitations. Join the early-access party to follow the build.
